The Bookseller’s conferences set the standard for helping the book trade work through what is working – and what isn’t – in today’s complex publishing market.

The Children’s Conference, in September, is a key annual date for those in the vibrant children’s publishing sector, covering both physical books and the new opportunities for exploiting intellectual property in apps, TV and licensing.

This year’s big theme of conference, “THE BIG TENT: PUBLISHING FOR EVERYONE IN TODAY’S DIVIDED WORLD”.

During the conference, Jonathan Watson, CPO Kids Insights, shared our latest insights on “Teenagers and their Spending Habits in Today’s Evolving World” at The Bookseller Children’s Conference. The study shows that bookshops are still the most common place to buy books from, ahead of online retailers for 4-6 and 13-15-year-olds, demonstrating the importance of books having a physical presence for these kids.
